5/17 6:30 PM Homesteaders Recital. Attention Homesteaders! Our annual recital is fast approaching! It is a great way to celebrate the end of the year with our hardworking students! We'll also have a little graduation ceremony for our graduating seniors. If your student would like to participate by playing an instrument, singing, reciting a poem, displaying some art, science project, or is a senior and want to walk down the aisle, please let Kathy McFeaters know asap! It's always a great night. All are welcome to come and be in the audience as well.
5/18 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM Sewing for Others. Non-sewers & sewers, we need you! Join us in making blankets, skirts, shorts, & much more. We do these for OCC, missions, & other agencies that need or request them. If you're a sewer, bring your machine. If you don't sew a pair of scissors would be helpful. From April 28-May 26 Will be collecting Diapers sizes 5 & 6 only and\or hard to find training pants. The PRC told me they are in need of these items. See Joan Bower.

*Church Mailboxes
If you have been a regular attendee here and a church mailbox has not been made for you, please contact the church office so we can do that. The mailboxes are a handy way for people of the church to stay in communication with each other. Just a friendly reminder that placing informational flyers in multiple mailboxes needs to be approved by the church office first. See Alleene in the church office with questions.

If you have an updated photo that you would like put on the online church directory, please e-mail it to the church office (info@firstbaptistavoca.org) or drop one off to the church office so Alleene can scan it. Please see Alleene with questions
*Directory Update and E-mail Subscriptions
The church office is starting to work on a slightly new process for updating the church directory. The directory includes updated names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. of regular church attendees. Only your information that you approve will be printed in the directory. You will be notified when the forms are distributed for you to fill out.
Also on that form will be an option to sign up for some e-mail subscriptions (prayer sheet, missionary updates, prayer requests, youth updates). The previous subscription list will be deleted and a new one will be started from scratch. No one is automatically put on the list again.

Policies for meeting:
We are striving to meet together in worship in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, keeps everyone safe, and honors the current laws of our government. If you are unable to meet in person we do broadcast our 9 a.m. service live on our facebook page.
During the 9 AM service only we will offer Jr. Church for those 2 years old to 3rd grade during the sermon part of the service. Nursery workers will also be available for the 9 AM service and Sunday School.
The other nursery, conference room, and some downstairs rooms are available for parents to use for childcare of their own children.
Showing grace to others as we work through this will be important. Thanks for reading, thinking and praying through all of this. Again, we would appreciate your input and cooperation.
