11:30 AM The Encouragers will hold their monthly meeting at the church with Hostess Ruth Larsen & Joyce Lyke as our Co-Hostesses. Joyce will be sharing our devotional time. 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Sewing for Others. Calling all non-sewers and sewers! We need you! Come join us in making blankets, skirts, shorts, and several other projects. We do these for OCC, missions, & other agencies that need or request them. If you are a sewer, bring your machine. If you don’t sew, a pair of scissors would be helpful. 11:30 AM Winter Retreat @ Schoeffler’s Cabin. A fun & active mid-winter get-a-away for students (grades 7-12) provides a different setting for listening to God & learning to love others. The retreat includes a fast food lunch in Bath, winter activities at the cabin, & deepening of relationships with one another & with God. It starts at 11:30 AM Sunday & returns 7:30 PM Monday. Bring money for Sunday fast food lunch. Please see Pastor Brandon for more details.
6:00 PM Evening Service. Join us as we study through 1 Samuel.
6:00 PM MAPS Kids will pack packages for college kids. PARENTS & ANYONE, who likes to bake cookies, we need your help! Please bring some cookies this night so we can pack them for our college students? Please let Mrs McFeaters know if you can help. 566-9557 or Facebook message.

8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Work As Worship Retreat. We will be a host site for RightNow Media’s live simulcast designed for Christian leaders in business to hear from experts, be encouraged, and discuss how to connect your faith and work. If you would like to help with this event or attend this event, please see Pastor Bill.
4:00 PM Worship Practice for 2nd Service.
Ladies Retreat leaves. This year’s retreat will be held at the Linck Hill Inn in Morris PA. The theme is, “Our Joy Is In The Lord”. Registration is limited. All registrations and payments need to be submitted directly to Vanessa Obrochta or placed in her church mailbox. See Vanessa with questions.

8:00 AM – Noon Grand Prix Workshop 1 (please note the change in date). If you would like help putting together your car, we will have power tools and design tips available. If you plan to come to this workshop, please contact Brian Patterson immediately.

3/3 8:00 AM – Noon Grand Prix Workshop 2. If you would like help putting together your car, we will have power tools and design tips available. You must R.S.V.P. to 566-2077 or sign up at the bulletin board by 2/28 to let us know you are coming.

3/4 4:30 PM VBS Teacher/Leader meeting. If you are teaching in a classroom or leading an area of VBS please plan to attend. If you plan to help or are just curious about what we’re up to you’re welcome to join in! See Tara Devine with questions. See you there!

3/9 6:30 PM Awana Grand Prix. A free dinner for all Grand prix participants and their families will be served from 5:30-6:00 PM Registration will open at 6:00 p.m. It is recommended that you come no later than 6:20 p.m. Contact Pastor Brandon with questions.

*3/16 – 17 Spring Work Days. Please plan to set aside some time to help clean and maintain one of the resources that the Lord has given us, the church building and property. There are jobs everyone can help with! If you are able to volunteer during these days, please see Dave Davis or one of the trustees.

*3/30 7:00 PM Good Friday Service. “Come afresh to the cross at this moment, and rest there now and for ever! Then, with the power of God resting upon you, go forth and preach the cross!” – Charles Spurgeon. You are invited to come afresh to remember the cross at this year’s Good Friday Service and to help in proclaiming it to others. If you are willing to help with reading scripture or with congregational singing please sign up across from the mailboxes or contact Pastor Brandon.

*3/31 9:00 – 11:00 AM Easter Egg Hunt. We need help to set up, man stations, and help in the egg hunt. Please let Mrs McFeaters or Miss Marleena know if you can help. The M.A.P.S. kids are sponsoring this event. This is a great opportunity to reach out to the Avoca community. Please do not hesitate to ask questions as well.
If you are able to supply individually wrapped candies, please place them in the collection box under the mailboxes.

Baby Bottle Drive
The Baby Bottle Drive for the Pregnancy Resource Center of the Valleys runs 1/21 – 3/4 You can pick up a baby bottle at the welcome center in the lobby. Please return filled bottles to the church office. See Joanne Drake with questions.

Family Camp 2018
LET’S GO CAMPING … in August! Registration is open NOW by going to ReserveAmerica.com. Family Camp will be held August 9-12 at Keuka Lake State Park. (Most of us camp on the Esperanza Loop). FYI the park has renumbered their sites for the 2018 season. Come for the weekend, a night or an afternoon! See Tara or Kevin Devine with questions. Hope to see you there!

Historian Needed
We are looking for help in organizing some of the historical information of the church. If you are interested, please see Alleene Peterson.

VBS 2018
We need your TIME! Time Lab VBS is coming at warp speed – this summer 6/25-6/29 and we need help! If you are able to join us by PRAYING and/or as a Classroom, Snack, Craft, Game Time, Nursery, Skit, Registration, or Set Building Helper please see Tara Devine ASAP. Set your watches…and make plans to JOIN US!

Design Ideas Desired
We will be upgrading the bell sign in the next few weeks and would like ideas for logos and design arrangement of our necessary information. If you would like to help, please see Pastor Bill ASAP for details.

Electric Panel Project
The electric panel project was approved. If you would like to contribute to this project, please note in the memo or on the envelope that it is for the “Electric Panel Project”. Thank you.

*OCC Update
11 million shoeboxes have been sent to children in over 110 countries. Remember to pray for the child who received your box. (Check out after Valentine’s Day clearance sales).

*Free to a good home
We have replaced the sled bottom brown chairs and the older wooden chairs with newer stackable chairs. If you can use the chairs that are now under the church mailboxes, please give them a good home.
